CURRENTLY OBSESSED: 2014 SPORTS LUXE

The sports luxe trend throughout the past few seasons has been evolving from a wary concept to a mandatory vital look for the modern day woman. A personal continuous favourite 'trend' of mine. Tantalizing tennis style kits at Lacoste, racer-back style bra's at Gucci, and even tracksuits at Marc by Marc Jacobs. The multitude of sheer panels, bomber jackets, mesh pieces combined with high-tech and high-shine fabrics to glossy silks and satin's give the 'luxury' edge deriving in a ensemble simply avoidable for any type of sport.

Here are a few of my favored sports style pieces.

Adidas by Stella McCartney Adizero II Mesh Sneakers

Alexander Wang SS14

American Apparel Tennis Skirt

Balmain SS14

Chanel AW14

Monki Suri Silver Jacket

Rag & Bone Daytona Cropped Leather Halterneck Top

Topshop Sports Rib Mini Vest

Topshop Hi Pool Slide Sandals

Preen by Thornton Bregazzi rewind

Like most nights I find myself disorientated in the land of fashion - starting off admiring Marc Jacobs chatting with Vogue I found myself revisiting last year's the SS14 shows, clip by clip I landed on Preen's Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

In the past I had not been the biggest fan of Preen - the brand's signature all white looks were everything but compatible with my style. Though, watching back clips of the show, googling images of the unspotted details to the garments and applauding the fashion the pieces had been put together reminded me just why the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi Spring 2014 Ready-To-Wear was a favourite from last year's London Fashion Week.

It's always fun to watch brand's grow, to see them feature new ideas and contrast new lines that connect to you as the collections go on. An arty collection. Foil silk anoraks to shiny colour contrasting looks in cellophane and asymmetrical dresses was undeniably something that had not been seen in the past. Thornton and Bregazzi paraded onto new territory with their recent looks  - as a new fan I can only hope the next collection exceeds their most recent.

My favourite looks I can only yearn for are seen above.

Don't you love those lucky finds on YouTube? Listening to a song only to be directed to another track of your taste?

Izzy Bizu - White Tiger (Hippie Sabotage Remix) led me to this new favourite of mine. Playing this song for the first time sat outside King's Cross Station on a alluring sun-beaming day has stuck with me giving me the same feeling every time I hear it. A new addition to my summer holiday playlist.

Revisited: Acne Studios Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear

A mere four years ago, Acne business as usual in the prime of the brand's androgynous signature style. Jonny Johansson continues to renovate the label, his recent Fall collection taking a bigger risk and descending away from the Streetwear roots - let's take a minute and look back to the old times at Acne Studios where inspiration for the Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear collection was taken from girls in Johansson's design studio in a blend of work-wear taken down a chic route.

A favourite of mine - the Fall 2011 collection was considerably a roundup of everything I crave for. Platform sandals, a statement shoe that's lurked back into style slowly. Stocky masculine shapes tailored with floor-length skirts. Super-cropped trousers with boxy, oversized jumpers, vests, leather jackets and overalls in denim and rich leather. Not to forget that teddy-bear patched up coat and the show rewarding colour palette - bright orange, various burgundy, dusty pink, olive, electric blue and mustard.

WELCOME TO MY BLOG.

After much anticipation and going back and forth, I've finally created a new blog. After running my own personal blog on wordpress for a while I had made the choice to close it down after not having enough time and stay up to date with it. I wasn't happy with the amount I was publishing on my blog and so I took a little time off from it.

So, I'm back. And this time with blogger.

A little bit about myself, I am an aspiring stylist living in Yorkshire. I do freelance work based around the fashion industry with styling and blogging. I love everything about fashion, and so keeping a blog comes naturally to me as it's something I adore. I hope to keep you up to date with my journey of style, fashion updates in the industry and inspiration. Alongside the whole fashion posts, you can excpect the odd post on food and/or travel!
